About

You want to know about me? Yay!

I’m Azadeh, textile and fiber artist, everyday bicyclist, lover of pretty things, aspiring homesteader. I’m in my mid-twenties, little, and like to smile a lot.
In 2007, life was leading me down a brambled path in which I saw my regular American way of life in a new light–full of (mostly un)intentional exploitation. So I decided to become more self-sufficient, instead.

Since then, I’ve taken up a pretty bicycle for transportation, and I’ve been learning to knit, sew, spin, dye, weave, cook, bake, restore wood, create pottery, garden (when space is available), and generally to make things endlessly.

These pages are the stories of my creations.

Nick (AKA Woozelpamie, AKA WPM) sometimes adds his own adorableness. He’s a programmer with a love of cuteness.

At the start of this blog, two years ago, we lived in the northwest corner of the United States. Then, needing a change, we lived in Hamburg, Germany, for more than a year. Now, finally, we’re settling down in Vancouver, Canada, hopefully to stay.

We can frequently be found gliding past cherry blossoms on one bicycle, Nick peddling, Azadeh sitting lady-like on the back rack.

I am the mother of this adorable, creative and inspired young lady. I have taught her many of the things she knows and now enjoys yet she has taught me many, many more, and I am still learning from her every day. I’m sure you will all be delighted by anything you purchase from Aza which she has so lovingly created! She can be an inspiration to us all. (I’m, of course, only slightly biased!!)
